What is your current job and/or position?
Administrative Assistant.

Why are you running for School Board?  I have served on the Board for the last six years and wish to continue to serve the community and district in that capacity.

Relevant Experience:
I worked for the district for almost 20 years prior to being elected. I have a unique inside knowledge of how the district works.

What do you think you can bring to this position? Past experience on the board and my rapport with the administration, faculty and staff.

Please tell us about one goal you have for this position. To maintain the high quality of education and the "distinction" the district has achieved which makes our community proud.

This year Fort Zumwalt is close to $4 million under budget. What do you plan on doing to address this issue? The board and administration is working hard to try to work through this budget issue without eliminating any "big" areas but making small changes in many areas.

Going along with the budget, what areas do you think are important to keep funding? What areas do you think could take a reduction in funding? It would be very difficult to determine which area is more or less important than another as each is important and work together for the benefit of the students' education. Hopefully it won't come to that and we can avoid drastically reducing one particular area by making smaller, less noticeable cuts across the board.

Some districts in the St. Louis area have cut funding for the DARE program. Should this be something Fort Zumwalt considers?  I'm sure if something had to be cut, the DARE program would be considered. If that type of a decision had to be made, we would have to decide which would be the least detrimental to lowest number of students.
