No Election For Fort Zumwalt School Board: Two Candidates Will Swear in at April Meeting

Mike Swaringim and Scott Grasser will be sworn in at the April 15 board of education meeting.

Fort Zumwalt School District will not hold an election for the board of education this year. 

Two candidates filed for two open seats on the board. The terms of Scott Grasser and Carol Russell end in April. 

Nancy Coleman from Fort Zumwalt Administrative Services, said Mike Swaringim and Scott Grasser will be sworn in at the April 15 board of education meeting.

Swaringim served on the Fort Zumwalt Board of Education from 1999 until his defeat in the 2011 election. He served as board president at various times throughout his terms. According to the district website, Grasser has served on the board since 2004. 

Fort Zumwalt School board members serve three-year terms.
