Painting Invitational Shows Come to SCC

St. Charles Community College will host artwork beginning Jan. 31.

A free painting invitational will be coming to St. Charles Community College alter this month.

At the on the campus of the college, the public will be able to artwork by several artists. Beginning on Jan. 31 and running until March 4, artwork from Daven Anderson, Deborah Douglas, Ron Flier, Elizabeth Parris, Robin Street-Morris and David M. Yates will be on display for the public.

"These artists explore a variety of painting techniques combined with a wide array of conceptual approaches," said Christine Holtz, SCC adjunct instructor and gallery coordinator in a press release.

The exhibit opens Monday, Jan. 31, however the grand opening won't be until Feb. 2. On that day an opening reception from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. will take place in the gallery. 

The gallery is open to the public from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays. On Saturday, the gallery will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
