Friday Night Spotlight: Football Regular Season Comes to an End
Zumwalt East faces Warrenton, Zumwalt South takes on Vianney and Howell Central plays Jackson.
Week 9 is here and it's the last week of the regular season. Teams will get one more shot to make a change to the playoff standings. Let's see what games are going down for the St. Peters schools.
Fort Zumwalt East (6-2) vs. Warrenton (2-6) at 7 p.m.
Fort Zumwalt East bounced back from a Week 7 loss with a big Week 8 win. The Lions currently sit in second place in the Class 5, District 3 standings and a win on Friday against Warrenton would help lock up that spot.
The Lions will be taking on a team with a 2-6 record that scores a lot of point, but also gives up a lot. On the year, Warrenton has scored 213 points—just 20 points fewer than the Lions—but has surrendered nearly 36 points per game (287 total).
