The girls soccer season continues on in St. Charles County and several players had big weeks.

Some starred with numerous goals, some just managed to score timely goals. For others it was all about goal prevention.

Bridget and Shannon Stewart—: The Stewart sisters from Fort Zumwalt South had quite a productive week for the Bulldogs soccer team. So productive, in fact, that it's impossible to split up Bridget and Shannon. The Bulldogs went 3-0 last week with and scored a total 10 goals. The Stewarts combined for eight of the goals. Shannon had a three-game goal scoring streak and put up four goals (one game winner) and one assist. Bridget had back-to-back two goal games to give her a total of four goals (two game winners) and two assists.

Abigail Griffen—: Francis Howell North's Abigail Griffen was an offensive spark for the Knights last week. Griffen powered the Knights to two wins with two game-winning goals. Against Parkway Central, Howell North picked up a 4-0 win and Griffen potted two goals—including the eventual game winner. Against St. Charles West, Griffen again scored the game winner for the Knights. She also included an assist in the win.

Megan Swanson—: The Crusaders at St. Dominic picked up three wins last week and all three came via the shutout. St. Dominic goalkeeper Megan Swanson picked up the clean sheet in all three wins. Swanson and St. Dominic opened up with a 1-0 win against Ursuline. The next night, on April 17, Swanson shut the door on Trinity in a 4-0 win. St. Dominic closed out the week on Thursday with another blanking, this time by shutting out Kennedy 9-0. For the week, Swanson picked up three wins and three shutouts for the Crusaders.

Julie Ireland—: The Holt Indians went 2-1 last week and a big reason for the winning mark was the offensive production of Julie Ireland. In the Indians' 7-2 win on Monday, April 16, Ireland netted the game-winning goal and finished the day with two goals and an assist. Ireland followed that up with the game-winner in Holt's 2-1 against rival Timberland.
