Chase Abbington—: To say Chase Abbington had a good day on the ground against Francis Howell Central would be a bit of an understatement. The Bulldogs' senior running back dominated the Spartans in the rain. Abbington carried the ball an incredible 44 times for a staggering 324 yards—for the less math inclined that a 7.4 yards per carry average. Two of his carries resulted in touchdowns—two of the three the Bulldogs scored all game. His final score, a 49-run in the fourth quarter, broke a 14-all tie and helped Zumwalt South improve to 2-0 on the season.

Kyle Bazzel—: St. Dominic has had quite the start to the 2012 season. The Crusaders have racked up back-to-back wins, each time scoring at least 41 points. On Friday night St. Dominic took down Cardinal Ritter 45-20. Kyle Bazzel scored two touchdowns in the game for the Crusaders—one came from 61-yards and the other from just one-yard away. Bazzel also added an interception to help St. Dominic improve to 2-0 on the season.

Clay Stulce—: The Duchesne Pioneers took down Affton 30-0 and running back Clay Stulce played a large part in the victory. Stulce proved to be dangerous both from the air and on the ground. As the quarterback, he completed 4-of-7 passes for 47 yards and one touchdown. With the ball in his hands, he ran 18 times for 136 yards—7.6 yard per carry. He found the endzone twice, including scoring the first touchdown of the game to put Duchesne up for good.
