Thank You to the residents of St. Peters

The generosity of St. Peters residents makes the difference in the Meals on Wheels program.

Everyone involved with the Mid-East Area Agency on Aging's Meals on Wheels program at the St. Peters Senior Center would like to extend a big Thank You to the Residents of St. Peters.  Meals on Wheels has been the victim of budget cuts and sequestration recently and in fact,  has not received an increase in funding for the past 6 or 7 years.  Since the start of the check box program on the St. Peters utilities bills, St. Peters residents have raised over $13,000 to support the program.  This has made a huge difference in our ability to continue to offer a hot, nutritious meal to homebound seniors in our area.  The program is so much more than a meal. Its also a daily safety check from a friendly, familiar face.  Many of the people that we serve are lonely and isolated and may not talk to another person in the course of their day.  Your generosity has made the difference in many people's lives and you are what makes the city of St. Peters the great place that it is.

If you know someone that can benefit from this program or you would like to volunteer to deliver meals please contact us at 636-278-2410 or 636-278-1609.
