Give Back: Help With Wing Ding, Rhythm and Ribs Festival

St. Peters Patch has a round up of volunteer opportunities

  • Rhythm and Ribs is a community-wide event which benefits the Foundation. The event is happening May 18. To volunteer, contact Betsy Schneider at 636-922-8473 or by email at bschneider@stchas.edu. There are a variety of volunteer opportunities available including registration, beverage tents, raffle drawings, food tents and more. The event is Friday, May 18 and two shifts are available: 5:15–8:15 p.m. and 8–11 p.m.
  • O'Fallon Senior Center is loking for volunteers with fresh ideas for new activities to share with seniors. If you have ideas to share, contact (636) 272-4180.
  • ITNStCharles provides dignified, door-to-door transportation for seniors over 65 and those with visual impairments 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Volunteers enjoy a flexible schedule and drive ITN customers wherever they want to go. Some frequent destinations include medical appointments, shopping, and to visit family and friends. Provide one afternoon a week or a few hours during the month. You'll receive training, and ITN will arrange your driving assignments and routes around your schedule. You can even pick up a rider on your way to work and do a good deed before the day's begun!
  • BCI's Wing Ding is a wing eating festival in St. Louis which benefits BCI's mission to provide employment opportunities for adults with disabilities. The event will be June 7. To volunteer, contact Karen Bryner at 636-875-5266 or bci-volunteer@boonecenter.com. Volunteer are needed to serve in all areas of the event: in the beverage booths, assisting the restaurants, at gate, in the volunteer area and much more.
