Man Gets Probation After Burglarizing Stepfather's Home, Ripping Out Video System

Michael Anthony Glatz ran through a wooden fence to get away after his stepfather arrived home. He told police he was high on Xanax at the time.

A man admitted disabling his stepfather’s video surveillance system during a March 20 burglary and stealing jewelry from his home in St. Peters. Michael Anthony Glatz pleaded guilty to second-degree burglary and felony theft and was placed on five years probation by St. Charles County Circuit Court Judge Jon A. Cunningham. Glatz ran through a wooden fence, dropping some stolen jewelry, when his stepfather arrived at his home in the 1400 block of Ticonderoga Drive, according to St. Peters Police. Glatz told police he was high on Xanax when he ran through the fence, according to a court document. The stepfather had been monitoring the surveillance system and saw that it had been disabled. St. Peters Police Cracking Down on Seat Belt Violations

The St. Peters Police Department will be taking part in a statewide "Click it or Ticket" campaign until June 2.

St. Peters Police began cracking down on seat belt violations this week as part of a statewide law enforcement effort.  Starting on Monday and running until June 2, St. Peters Police will be enforcing the "Click It or Ticket" campaign throughout the city. According to a release from the Police Department, seven out of 10 people killed in Missouri traffic crashes aren't wearing seat belts.  The release said Missouri has 79 percent seat belt use—well below the 85-percent national average. According to police, teens and pick-up truck drivers are among those least likely to buckle up. Man on Probation for Theft Caught Stealing Computer Two Days Later, Police Say

A St. Charles County deputy said he found Anthony James Cissi carrying a stolen computer down a Harvester street May 8. He was placed on two years probation on May 6 for stealing.

A 20-year-old man is accused of stealing a laptop computer from a car on May 8 in Harvester. Two days previously, he had been placed on probation for another theft case. Anthony James Cissi, 20, of the 3900 block of Cambridge Crossing in the Harvester area, was charged May 9 with misdemeanor stealing. A St. Charles County Sheriff’s deputy said he found Cissi walking and carrying a computer bag May 8 on Pecan Hill Drive near Cambridge Crossing. The spot was near 11 Mouser Drive, where the laptop had been stolen. Cissi pleaded guilty May 6 to another misdemeanor theft and was placed on two years probation. On Jan. 24, he stole a backpack from a car on Cambridge Crossing in the same block in which he lives. In that case, he admitted stealing …

Three Injured in Multi-Car Crash

The crash took place just before 4 p.m. on Interstate 70 in St. Peters.

Three people were injured in a three-car crash Thursday afternoon in St. Peters.  According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, two cars were stopped for traffic ahead on westbound Interstate 70 just east of Mid Rivers Mall Drive just before 4 p.m.. A third vehicle, a 2011 Ford F-250 driven by Gary Sexton, 51, of St. Peters, failed to stop and struck the rear of another vehicle, a 2007 Chevrolet F-150 driven by James R. Todd, 27, of O'Fallon. The impact of the crash caused Todd's truck to collide with the first car, a 2001 Mercury Sable driven by Timothy S. Jackson, 22, of St. Charles.  Sexton and Todd were uninjured in the crash and both were able to drive their vehicles from the scene.  Jackson and two passengers …

Police: Man Charged After Exposing Himself to Teen in Library Parking Lot

Kevin Flatley, 49, of 400 block of Quiet Field Drive in St. Peters, was arrested and charged with second degree sexual misconduct by the St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney's Office issued on Thursday.

Probation For Woman Who Embezzled $232K From Employer

Melinda Tucker also has to make restitution to her former employer, Motor Vehicle Solutions of St. Peters.

A woman who stole $232,000 from her St. Peters-based employer was placed on five years probation after pleading guilty May 6. Melinda Tucker, of the 1900 block of Prairie Point Road in O’Fallon, credited her personal credit cards with refunds from Motor Vehicle Solutions, her employer, 128 times between March 2011 and May 2012. Tucker also is ordered to pay restitution at a rate of $200 per month until she is employed. When she is employed, the rate will go up at an amount determined by her probation officer.
