When Are Graduation Ceremonies for Fort Zumwalt, Francis Howell and Lutheran High School?

It's cap and gown time—post your grad's photo here and tell him or her how proud you are!

Graduation is coming up soon for seniors in St. Peters-area high schools. In the Fort Zumwalt School District: In the Francis Howell School District: Lutheran High School's graduation ceremony will be Sat., May 25. Proud families are encouraged to upload their grad's picture to this story. In the caption, please tell us the graduate's name, school and plans for the future. SCC Center Stage Theatre to hold open auditions for ‘A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum’ May 21-23

Director Lynne Snyder will hold vocal and acting auditions at 7 p.m. Tuesday-Wednesday, May 21-22. Dance auditions will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 23.

Feeling the Pinch of Prom Season? You're Not Alone

How much is too much to spend on high school prom festivities?

If $1,139 fell into your lap, how would you spend it? When asked, Patch editors said they'd put their money toward new furniture, house payments, student loans, a vacation to South America or, "Diapers. Lots and lots of diapers." But for average families with kids planning for prom season, that amount of money will be spent on limos, dresses and other prom-related expenses. That's according to a Visa survey reported by CNN and other media outlets on Thursday.  Let that number sink in: $1,139 per family for prom. Prom shouldn't cost that much! I bought a dress for about $30 at Dillards over the summer, while it was on clearance. It's a gorgeous dress and it was a lucky find! Prom tickets cost me $110, and that included dinner, so that wasn't too bad. I did my own hair, nails and makeup for free! My dad drove me instead of getting a limo or paying for parking. I am currently going through mediation for visitation rights for the father of my daughter. He currently lives across country and would like to keep her for a whole month. McEvoy, Bice Keep Spots on Francis Howell Board; Zumwalt Proposition 1 Passes

In the April 2 election voters in Francis Howell keep on the incumbents while voters in Fort Zumwalt pass a no-tax increase bond issue.

The Francis Howell Board of Education will have two familiar faces for the next meeting. Tuesday's municipal election saw voters living in the Francis Howell District deciding between four people vying for two seats. In the end, voters chose the two incumbents. Amy McEvoy (4,127 votes, 36.82 percent) and Cynthia Bice (3,391 votes, 30.26 percent) defeated to Tony Yakich (1,837 votes, 16.39 percent) and Robert Faltisek (1,788 votes, 15.95 percent) to stay on the board.  McEvoy and Bice were both elected to the board in 2010 and will now serve another three-year term on the board of education. March's surprise snow storm hit on Sunday morning. The relentless snow wouldn't stop falling and now many studetns (and teachers, too) are left wondering if school be called off for Monday.
