A St. Louis County woman had her 6-year-old daughter in her car when she was arrested for drunk driving and assaulted a police officer, according to police.
Rachel Wilcox, 27, of unincorporated West St. Louis County was charged Thursday with driving while intoxicated. According to Officer Melissa Doss with the St. Peters Police Department, the DWI charge and others stem from a Jan. 6 incident where Wilcox was arrested, suspected of DWI. Doss said the woman's 6-year-old daughter was in the car at the time. Doss also tells Patch, that during the arrest Wilcox attempted to spit on one police officer, then she allegedly slapped another officer in the face in the booking area. In June, Matt Hansen, 38, of Lincoln County, was found in possession of child porn on his home computer. According to Superintendent Dr. Bernard DuBray, police say Hansen did not share the videos he took of campers in the shower.
A Fort Zumwalt West Middle School teacher who was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography earlier this month, also allegedly taped students undressing while away at camp. Matt Hansen, 38, taught seventh grade math in the district since 2004, and was placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the police investigation. According to a letter from Fort Zumwalt Superintendent Bernard DuBray posted on the district's website in June, Hansen also assisted with the district's Fifth Grade Outdoor Education Program. Police seek information on the person responsible for burglarizing Pistols Plus.
A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest in a burglary that happened last month. The St. Peters Police DepartmentPistols Plus, located at 3004 South St. Peters Parkway (formerly South Outer Highway 94). At around 3:30 a.m. on Dec. 17, 2010, an unknown subject forced entry into the business and stole an undisclosed amount of handguns, according to the St. Peters Police. The ATF (Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms) is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone who can provide information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the burglary. This woman needs some serious help. I sincerely hope she chooses to get herself off drugs and alcohol before she kills herself or someone else.   more ›
