Man Hit With Chair, Choked by Assailant, Police Say

A St. Charles resident was charged with assault and trespassing.

A St. Charles man faces criminal charges after police said he hit a St. Peters man with a chair and choked him on Sept. 12. Kyle Crawford Gay, 20, of the 2000 block of Dawson Drive in St. Charles, was charged Sept. 24 with third-degree assault and first-degree trespassing. St. Peters Police said Gay unlawfully entered a home in the first block of Shadow Ridge in St. Peters. He then hit the homeowner with a 20-pound chair and choked him until he nearly passed out, according to court documents. Teen Charged as Adult in Fatal Hill Hopping Crash

Police said Michael Gianino was going more than 75 mph over a hill on Greens Bottom Road when he lost control, flipping the car several times.

A teenager was charged as an adult 10 months after flipping his car in St. Charles County, killing one passenger and seriously injuring another. Michael Gianino, 17, was 16 years old when his Oct. 17 crash on Greens Bottom Road in St. Charles County killed Clayton Newell, a sophomore at Francis Howell North High School. Gianino’s younger sister, Samantha Gianino, also was seriously injured. Gianino was charged Tuesday with second-degree involuntary manslaughter and second-degree assault. Police said Gianino was “hill hopping,” driving along the road along the Missouri River at speeds topping 75 mph, trying to go airborne over a levee. “Greens Bottom Road is flat as a pancake except where it goes over a levee. Police: Man Hit, Bit Victim, Poked Him in Eye

The Bridgeton man was charged with third-degree assault.

A Bridgeton man faces criminal charged after police said he punched, bit and poked another man in the eye Aug. 15 in St. Charles County. Benjamin L. Rausch, 30, of the 11800 block of Majella in Bridgeton, was charged Thursday with third-degree assault. A St. Charles County Sheriff’s deputy said Rausch assaulted the victim in the first block of Toelle Drive near St. Peters. According to the report, Rausch bit the victim in the head, drawing blood; poked him in the eye; bit him in the ear, drawing blood; and punched the victim. Police: Man Broke Into Estranged Wife's Apartment with Secret Key

Police said the man hit his wife with a stick and stepped on her face during an argument.

A man was charged Monday with entering his estranged wife’s apartment in St. Peters. David Barbee, 49, of the 1200 block of Harvest Lane in St. Charles, was charged with first-degree burglary. St. Peters Police said Barbee used a key made without his wife’s knowledge to enter the apartment in the 200 block of Turnberry Place in St. Peters. According to a police statement, Barbee hit her with a stick in the arm and stepped on her face during an argument. Bond was set at $25,000. Police: Teens Rob, Assault Marijuana Dealer

Two of the accused blamed the victim for getting them arrested in an earlier drug bust, according to a police report. Two of the accused are St. Peters residents.

Three teenagers were charged Friday with robbing and assaulting another teen who came to sell them marijuana at Golden Gate Parkway and West Meyer Road in Wentzville Wednesday. Charged with two counts of first-degree robbery and two counts of armed criminal action were: Megan Lunte, 17, of O’Fallon, was charged Friday with tampering with evidence in connection with the robbery. Wentzville Police said that the victim called Robles-LaFontaine and asked him if he wanted to buy marijuana. Robles-LaFontaine was with Sutton and Massey, who blamed the victim for getting them arrested in an earlier drug bust because he did not claim his drugs, police said. Robles-LaFontaine arranged to meet the victim, and the three planned to beat and rob him …

Police: Man Tried to Shoot 'One or All' of Group of Teenagers Near St. Peters

A St. Charles County man was charged in Sunday’s shooting near Mid Rivers Mall Drive and Mexico Road in St. Peters.  A St. Charles County Sheriff’s report said that Gregory D. Crawford, 18, of the first block of Jamestown Drive, shot a firearm at another group of about nine teenagers outside his apartment. The incident took place in Steeplechase neighborhood in unincorporated St. Chalres County surrounded by the city of St. Peters. The handgun was recovered in Crawford's bedroom, according to court documents. Crawford told law officials his intent was to “shoot one or all of them,” according to the report. Man Crashes into Sewer, Leaves Scene, Has Meth Ingredient, Slugs Inmate

The man drove into and damaged a sewer at Oak Berry Court in unincorporated St. Charles County just west of St. Peters.

A St. Louis County man drove off the road April 19 at Oak Berry Court and damaged a sewer before driving off, according to a St. Charles County Sheriff’s Department report. When Sheriff’s deputies pulled over Jayson Crisel, 39, of Overland, they said he also had 48 tablets cold tablets containing pseudoephedrine in his car, an ingredient used to make methamphetamine. While at the St. Charles County Department of Corrections, Crisel was coming out of the bathroom when he struck a handcuffed inmate in the eye. When asked why he struck the inmate, Crisel said he thought he knew him. Crisel is being charged with possessing chemicals with intent to make meth, leaving the scene of an accident and third-degree assault. Oak Berry Court is just …

Four Arrested in Assault at Bella Vista Subdivsion

Four men are arrested after a violent altercation on Sunday night.

Four men have been arrested following a violent altercation in the Bella Vista subdivision on Sunday. The St. Peters Police Department has arrested four men accused of assaulting a man with a baseball bat. The victim of the attack, Michael C. Matthews, 19 of St. Charles County, was taken to St. Joseph's East Hospital where he is currently listed in critical condition. Brandon C. Claspill, Dwayne L. Gibson, Joseph Q. Lacombe and Tevin T. Parks were all arrested following Sunday's incident. Claspill has been charged with unlawful use of a weapon. Gibson is charged with assault in the first and armed criminal action. Man Arrested for Disturbance at First Baptist Church

Dustin Ostmann, 26, was arrested following an incident on Tuesday.

The St. Peters Police Department arrested a man after he entered First Baptist Church St. Peters on Mid Rivers Mall Drive and allgedly assaulted three people on Tuesday, March 29. The man was identified as Dustin Ostman, 26, of St. Charles.  Ostmann admitted to police he had bought and smoked “Supercense,” which is synthetic marijuana, when he started having hallucinations. He told officers he picked First Baptist Church St. Peters, located at 3533 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, because his hallucinations were starting to scare him and he wanted to go anywhere to get help.  The St. Peters Police Department said it does not appear Ostmann had any prior connections to this church and it was picked at random.  The St. Peters Police Department said …
