Lindenwood Coach Drove Wrong Way on I-70 Before Assaulting Officers, Police Say

Kyle Friesenhahn has been placed on unpaid leave from his diving coach position until the case is settled; he also lost a part-time coaching job with Fort Zumwalt high schools.

A Lindenwood University diving coach was stopped for driving the wrong way on Interstate 70 and brought into custody before he spit at and attempted to assault officers, St. Peters Police said. Patch reported earlier that Kyle Friesenhahn, 25, of the 1000 block of Pine Street in St. Charles, was charged with assaulting a law enforcement officer. Officer Melissa Doss, spokesperson for St. Peters Police, said the department requested the St. Charles County Prosecutor’s Office to file driving while intoxicated charges against Friesenhahn. Officers stopped Friesenhahn, Lindenwood’s head diving coach, for driving westbound in the eastbound lanes on I-70 near Mid Rivers Mall on Feb. 2, Doss said. Craigslist Date Ends in Prostitution Proposition and Drunken Assault

A man told St. Peters Police he placed an ad on Craigslist for a casual date that entailed dinner and a movie. Christina Marie Gable, 30, of Winfield, responded to the ad and later pleaded guilty later to third-degree assault amongst other charges.

A Craigslist date ended when the woman asked for $1,000 for sex and then assaulted the man when he refused. The woman then spit several times through a cage on a police officer in a squad car during a ride to the St. Peters Justice Center. The man told St. Peters Police he placed an ad on Craigslist for a casual date that entailed dinner and a movie. Christina Marie Gable, 30, of Winfield, responded to the ad. The man drove to Winfield to pick her up and took her back to his home in the 400 block of Lantana Lane West. He told police Gable began drinking vodka heavily and then told him wanted she wanted him to pay her $1,000 for sex. The man said he refused to pay for sex and offered to take her home. Man Spit On, Tried to Punch Officer, St. Peters Police Say

An officer was attempting to handcuff the man at the St. Peters Justice Center when he began resisting, according to a police report.

A St. Charles man faces assault charges for spitting on and attempting to punch a St. Peters police officer Sunday. Kyle Friesenhahn, 25, of the 1000 block of Pine Street in St. Charles, was charged Wednesday with assaulting a law enforcement officer. St. Peters Police said an officer was trying to handcuff Friesenhahn Sunday at the St. Peters Justice Center, 1020 Grand Teton Drive. Friesenhahn attempted to strike the officer twice and started spitting at officers, police said. Friesenhahn posted a $25,000 bond Monday and was released from jail. Man Charged With Hitting Deputy During Foot Chase

The accused was on probation for tampering with with a car at the time.

A man faces criminal charges after he struck a law enforcement officer during a foot chase in O’Fallon Aug. 24. Brandon D. Brown Jr, 20, of the first block of Newberry Drive in St. Charles County south of St. Peters, was charged Aug. 28 with assaulting an officer and resisting arrest. A St. Charles County Sheriff's deputy said in a report that he was chasing Brown on foot near 955 Bryan Road in O’Fallon because Brown had a warrant for his arrest. During the chase, Brown turned and struck the deputy in the chest. The blow caused the deputy to lose his balance, fall and strike his knee on the asphalt, and he nearly was struck by oncoming traffic, the deputy reported. Police: Employee, Girlfriend Kick Up Ruckus at St. Peters Gas Station

Police said the man assaulted another employee and resisted arrest while his girlfriend tried to prevent his arrest.

A Fastlane employee attacked another employee July 30 at gas station at 301 Salt Lick Road in St. Peters. St. Peters Police said Douglas Hoops Jr., 19, punched the other employee in the eye, threw items at him, damaged displays and merchandise and threatened the other Fastlane employee. When police arrived, Hoops hit an officer and spit on him, according to court documents. Hoops also resisted being put in the patrol car, and the car’s window by slamming his head into it, bending the window guide, according to a police statement. Hoops’ girlfriend, Michaelle Grayson, 23, of St. Charles, arrived after the arrest and began screaming at officers, police said.
