Craigslist Date Ends in Prostitution Proposition and Drunken Assault
A man told St. Peters Police he placed an ad on Craigslist for a casual date that entailed dinner and a movie. Christina Marie Gable, 30, of Winfield, responded to the ad and later pleaded guilty later to third-degree assault amongst other charges.
A Craigslist date ended when the woman asked for $1,000 for sex and then assaulted the man when he refused. The woman then spit several times through a cage on a police officer in a squad car during a ride to the St. Peters Justice Center. The man told St. Peters Police he placed an ad on Craigslist for a casual date that entailed dinner and a movie. Christina Marie Gable, 30, of Winfield, responded to the ad. The man drove to Winfield to pick her up and took her back to his home in the 400 block of Lantana Lane West. He told police Gable began drinking vodka heavily and then told him wanted she wanted him to pay her $1,000 for sex. The man said he refused to pay for sex and offered to take her home.
