Updated: Police: Teen Had 5-Foot-Tall Marijuana Plants Growing in His Room

Adam C. Flood, 17, is being charged with distributing a controlled substance and illegal use of drug paraphernalia.

A St. Charles County teenager faces a criminal drug charge for growing marijuana in his home after the St. Charles County Drug Task Force searched his home Monday. Adam C. Flood, 17, of the first block of Charlotteridge Court in St. Charles County south of St. Peters, was charged Tuesday with intent to distribute a controlled substance and illegal use of drug paraphernalia. Drug Task Force detectives said they found six marijuana plants growing in Flood’s bedroom and an upstairs room, along with grow lights and other cultivating material. Some of the plants were more than 5 feet tall, according to the report. Detectives reported that Flood told them he planned to sell them for profit.
