The Francis Howell Board of Education will have two familiar faces for the next meeting. Tuesday's municipal election saw voters living in the Francis Howell District deciding between four people vying for two seats. In the end, voters chose the two incumbents. Amy McEvoy (4,127 votes, 36.82 percent) and Cynthia Bice (3,391 votes, 30.26 percent) defeated to Tony Yakich (1,837 votes, 16.39 percent) and Robert Faltisek (1,788 votes, 15.95 percent) to stay on the board. McEvoy and Bice were both elected to the board in 2010 and will now serve another three-year term on the board of education. April 2 is Election Day. Here's some things you need to know before you hit the polls.
Today is the day. Municipal elections will take place today in St. Peters and all over St. Charles County. Several cities, including O'Fallon and Lake Saint Louis, will chose a mayor. City councils, school boards, and fire and ambulance districts will also be electing new members. Polling places around the city will open bright and early at 6 a.m. for a day full of voting in the election. Here are some things you should probably know before you hit the polls. As we approach the election, Patch will send each candidate a questionnaire to help empower voters to cast their ballots for the candidates they believe in.
