Planning and Zoning Closes Out Year With Fifth Third Bank Site Plan Approval

The St. Peters Commission re-re-approved a site plan for the bank.

The St. Peters Planning and Zoning Commission closed out the 2012 year with it's final meeting on Wednesday night. One group was making a return appearance in front of the commission.  Fifth Third Bank returned to the Justice Center hoping the third time would be the charm. The bank, first came to the St. Peters Planning and Zoning Commission in the first meeting of 2011 to get approval of a site plan for a new location located south of the existing Walgreens on Mid Rivers Mall Drive on the same area as the new Goodwill store. After construction didn't begin for a year, the bank returned in the last meeting of 2011 to have its site plan re-approved. Goodwill Begins Construction on St. Peters Square

A new Goodwill store is taking shape on St. Peters Square near Mid Rivers Mall Drive.

Construction on a new Goodwill store has begun in St. Peters.  The store, located south of the existing Walgreens on Mid Rivers Mall Drive and at the corner of St. Peters Square and McGavok street, was approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission in November 2011.  The new Goodwill store will start the process of filling the a vacant lot accross St. Peters Square from Walgreens. Goodwill and Fifth Third are expected to share the area, with the bank being closer to Mid Rivers Mall Drive.  Construction has yet to start on the bank.
