Lines were still long on a rainy day in St. Peters.
Things in St. Peters seemingly went smoothly on Election Day. While there were long lines—althought not nearly as long as those in other states that took voters hours to cast a vote—there were no issues reported to St. Peters Patch. Several voting machines acorss the county jammed—including one this morning at DuBray Middle School. Even in the rain, parking lots at polling places were full and voters kept a steady stream in to vote. In a seemingly odd departure, several polling places around St. Peters were without the usual barrage of campaign signage usually seen in the spring during Municipal Elections. Signs supporting Mitt Romney unofficially outnumbered signs for Barack Obama, but both were represented. At City Hall, one voter …

Today is the day. The General Ellection will take place today in St. Peters, Missouri and all over the United States. Polling places around the city will open bright and early at 6 a.m. for a day full of voting in the election. St. Peters Alderman John "Rocky" Reitmeyer is running against Dolores Sherman for the Ward 1 seat.
John Reitmeyer, better known as Rocky, has served on the St. Peters Board of Aldermen for 12 years. The Ward 1 rep is looking to add four more years on to his term. An Alderman since 2002, Patrick Barclay seeks to continue serving St. Peters' Ward 4.
Odd are good that Patrick Barclay will remain on the St. Peters Board of Aldermen. Barclay, who has been serving Ward 4 since 2002, is running unopposed in the upcoming election. Still, to get on the Board, he needs at least one vote at the April 3 General Election, which is why he decided to answer some questions from Patch. Here are his answers. Where do you live? Mark Parkinson lost my vote this time because for ALMOST A YEAR his "inbox" has been full and his voicemail is to full to accept messages. If he's too busy to listen, then he can't represent his people. He doesn't know what we want if he won't listen to us. This was the same guy that went house to house and promised to listen, but when he got elected, he quit listening.   more ›
