MoDOT Plans Lane Closures on Route 370, Interstate 70
The Missouri Department of Transportation will close one lane on westbound Route 370 and on eastbound Interstate 70 for up to a month starting Tuesday, May 14.
One lane of westbound Route 370 will be closed for up to a month to help with the interchange improvement project at Mid Rivers Mall Drive. Beginning Tuesday morning, the Missouri Department of Transportation will close one lane on westbound Route 370 and on eastbound Interstate 70, weather permitting. Starting at 8 a.m., crews will shut down the left lane of westbound Route 370 between the Salt River Road exit and westbound I-70. Then on Wednesday, May 15, crews will close the left lane of eastbound Route 370 from eastbound I-70 to just east of the north outer road flyover. St. Charles Woman Jumps from Car on Interstate 70
Julia Armstrong, 23, jumped out of a moving car and was seriously injured.
A St. Charles woman was seriously injured after she jumped out of a moving car on Tuesday. Julia Armstrong, 23, jumped out of a moving car just before 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday on eastbound Interstate 70 west of Zumbehl Road. The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Armstrong sustained serious injuries from the jump and was taken to SSM St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles. The crash report didn't offer an explanation as to why Armstrong decided to jump out of the moving car. Armstrong was a passenger in a 2007 Hyundai Sonata driven by James Anthony, 53, of St. Peters.

Two Lanes Closed Wednesday Night on Westbound Interstate 70 At Route 370
The Missouri Department of Transportation will close two lanes of westbound Interstate 70 at Route 370 tonight from 7 p.m. for bridge work.
Lane closures are coming to Interstate 70 in St. Peters on Wednesday night. The Missouri Department of transportation will close two lane of westbound Interstate 70 at Route 370 tonight, Wednesday, May 8. The closure will begin at 7 p.m. and is expected to be finished no later than 5 .m. on Thursday morning. MoDOT crews will be doing bridge repair work to the westbound I-70 bridge over Route 370. MoDOT is advising motorists to avoid westbound I-70 after the evening rush hour. As an alternate route, MoDOT is suggesting drivers use Route 370. Motorists using westbound Route 370 ramp will connect to westbound I-70 west of the location where the bridge crew is working.

MoDOT Schedules Work Monday on Blanchette Bridge and Interstate 70 Near Route 79

The Missouri Department of Transportation will be busy on Monday in St. Charles County. MoDOT will close the far right lane of eastbound Interstate 70 near Route 79 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, April 29 for pavement repairs, weather permitting. The lane closure will begin just east of Route 79. The entrance ramp from Route 79 to eastbound I-70 will also be closed. Northbound Route 79 motorists are advised to follow the message boards and use the north outer road to detour and access eastbound I-70. MoDOT Plans Closure of One Lane Of Westbound I-70 Starting Monday
The closure begins a half mile east of Route 79 and ends at the Route 79 exit.

The Missouri Department of Transportation will close the far right lane of westbound Interstate 70 near Route 79 on Monday, April 22 at 3 a.m. The closure begins a half mile east of Route 79 and ends at the Route 79 exit. This closure will remain in place for the next three months. The Route 79 exit remains open. This work is part of a project constructing a diverging diamond interchange (DDI). The project also includes the construction of an additional westbound I-70 lane between Mid Rivers Mall Drive and Route 79.

Major Changes Coming to I-70, Mid Rivers Mall Drive Intersection as Construction Begins
Construction crews began construction on the Mid Rivers Mall Drive/Interstate 70 interchange on Monday. Over the next several months, several significant changes will take place in efforts to improve traffic.
Construction on the diverging diamond intersection upgrade at Interstate 70 and Mid Rivers Mall Drive started Monday in St. Peters and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31. Crews will build a diverging diamond interchange and add an additional lane to westbound Interstate 70. The $13 million project is being paid for with federal, regional and local money. This week, crews will build a temporary slip ramp from westbound Interstate 70 to the North Outer Road, which will go to one-way traffic between the slip ramp and Mid Rivers Mall Drive. Starting the week of March 18, the loop ramps will be closed, which means drivers exiting from westbound I-70 to Mid Rivers Mall will have to use the slip ramp. A plan two years in the making to alleviate congestion at Mid Rivers Mall Drive and Interstate 70 should begin work as soon as next month. Thursday afternoon the Missouri Department of Transportation hosted an open house at St. Peters City Hall to introduce the public to plans to reconfigured the heavily-trafficked interchange. Plans for a new diverging diamond interchange were unveiled and explained to the public in attendance. "This is just another old interchange that needed to be updated to handle the volume of traffic it's trying to handle," said Russ Batzel, the public works service manager for St. Peters.
