Zumwalt East faces Warrenton, Zumwalt South takes on Vianney and Howell Central plays Jackson.
Week 9 is here and it's the last week of the regular season. Teams will get one more shot to make a change to the playoff standings. Let's see what games are going down for the St. Peters schools. Fort Zumwalt East bounced back from a Week 7 loss with a big Week 8 win. The Lions currently sit in second place in the Class 5, District 3 standings and a win on Friday against Warrenton would help lock up that spot. The Lions will be taking on a team with a 2-6 record that scores a lot of point, but also gives up a lot. On the year, Warrenton has scored 213 points—just 20 points fewer than the Lions—but has surrendered nearly 36 points per game (287 total). Week 8 is here and there's some big matchup on the schedule this week as we enter the second half of the season. Let's see what games are going down for the St. Peters schools. Fort Zumwalt East (5-2) vs. Washington (4-3)at 7 p.m.The last time Zumwalt East suffered a loss, the Lions went on a four-game winning streak. That Week 3 loss was the Lions only defeat of the season. That is, until last week. In Week 7 the Lions lost to Holt, snapping a winning streak and dropping the team from first in the GAC Central standings.Following the loss, East is tied with its Week 8 challenger, Washington, for second place in the confernce. Week 7 is here and there's some big matchup on the schedule this week as we enter the second half of the season. Let's see what games are going down for the St. Peters schools. Change is coming to the top of the GAC Central standings. The Zumwalt East Lions and Holt Indians are tied at 2-0—a tie that will be broken Saturday afternoon. In a rare weekend contest, the Indians will travel to East for a 1 p.m. start. East is riding high entering the game. The Lions are on a three-game winning streak and, most recently, took down rival Zumwalt South 48-30 in Week 5. Holt sits at 3-3 this season after weeks of tight games. Week 6 is here and there's some big matchup on the schedule this week as we enter the second half of the season. Let's see what games are going down for the St. Peters schools. Fort Zumwalt South, riding a two-game losing streak, won't have to go far for its Week 6 road game. The Bulldogs just need to travel down Mexico Road to take on rival Zumwalt East. After a big 3-0 start, the Bulldogs are 0-2 in GAC Central play. Last week, against Washington, the Bulldogs were throttled 67-21. Week 5 is here and there's some big matchup on the schedule this week. Let's see what games are going down for the St. Peters schools. The perfect season for the Zumwalt South Bulldogs ended in Week 4. After a 3-0 start, the Bulldogs hosted Zumwalt North in the first GAC Central contest of the 2012 season. In a tight contest, the Panthers were able to pull away 21-14 and come away with a win. South will try and bounce back in Week 5 with yet another conference tilt. Still at home, the Bulldogs will welcome Central rival to Jack Ball Stadium. Washington comes to St. Peters sporting a 2-2 record. September is here. As the weather turns colder, the teams start to separate. Week 4 is set to kick off on Friday. There's some big matchup on the schedule this week. Let's see what games are going down for the St. Peters schools. Road or home doesn't seem to matter for the Zumwalt South Bulldogs. After picking up two road wins, the Bulldogs came home in Week 3 and won again. After three weeks, the Bulldogs remain perfect. Last week Zumwalt South blew out Howell North with an impressive 42-6 win. South has averaged 28 points per game this season. In Week 4, the Bulldogs will host the Fort Zumwalt North Panthers. There's some big matchup on the schedule this week. Let's see what games are going down for the St. Peters schools. Fort Zumwalt South has been consistent through two weeks of the 2012 season. In each game the Bulldogs has put up 21 points on offense and played enough defense to get a win. Football is one of those rare all-weather sports. Rain or shine, football players play (unless, of course, there is lightning). For some schools with synthetic grass, the rain isn't much of a factor. Schools that still play on grass? Mud city. Week 2 of the high school football season is set to kick off Friday night. Around the same time, remnants of Hurricane Isaac will be heading toward St. Peters to drop some rain. Some schools are pushing back start times, but the St. Peters schools are not. For the second week in a row the Francis Howell Central Spartans will welcome a Zumwalt school. After falling last week to Zumwalt East, the Spartans will take on Zumwalt South on Friday night. Football is back. Camp is over, jamborees are done and now the real fun begins. All across Missouri Friday night has become football night. The 2012 season is set to kick off tonight with Week 1 action. This season will have new Districts, new rules and, of course, new teams on the rise. Let's take a look at who is taking the field on the first day of the 2012 season. The Zumwalt East Lions will open the 2012 with a road trip, but it won't be a long one. The Lions will head south on Mid Rivers Mall Drive to take on Francis Howell Central for the kickoff of the new year. The 2012 season will feature new-look districts for St. Peters football teams.
High School football around Missouri is set to kick off real soon. This Friday, after spending the summer hitting the same players and seeing the same faces on the practices fields, players will take the field for jamborees. At 7 p.m. Fort Zumwalt East will be hosting its own jamboree. For the Lions, the jamboree will be the preseason kick-off for the 2012 season. The season, which won't start until Aug. 24, will have a new District look this season. The Missouri State High School Activities Association released District assignment earlier this spring for the 2012 and 2013 season. Under the old format, schools were placed in four or five-team Districts and the last three to four weeks of the regular season became the de facto playoffs. A …
