After months of construction, doors will open March 21 on the newest branch of the St. Charles City-County Library District.
While nowhere near as busy it expects to be on March 21, the Spencer Road Branch Library was a hive activity on Monday morning. Just a little more than a week until doors open to the public for the first time, workers at the newest library in the St. Charles City-County Library District were putting the finishes touches on things around the building. Some shelves still need to be stocked, permanent door numbers need to be hung and other small details need to be finalized before the library opens on March 21. The workers can't wait. The finishing touches are being put on the new Spencer Road Branch. The newest library in the St. Charles City-County Library District has slowly but surely been rising above the ground in St. Peters. The old building is long gone and the new version has taken it's place on the corner of Spencer and Boone Hills Drive. Recently the parking lot was finished and soon it will be full of visitors. On Wednesday the St. Charles City-County Library District announced plans to have an opening on March 21.
