St. Peters Will Have Modified Hours, Remembrance Ceremony for Memorial Day

St. Peters will host the annual Memorial Day ceremony at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 27.

Memorial Day is Monday and the city of St. Peters will be closing several offices.  City Hall, the Cultural Arts Centre and Earth Centre will be closed for the holiday. The Rec-Plex will be open, but will have modified hours. The ice rink and pools will be open to the general public from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The registration desk will be closed. Recycle City, including aluminum can buy-back and trash acceptance, will be closed May 27. The Recycle City Drop-Off area will remain open Trash service will also be impacted by the holiday. Regular Monday/Thursday customers will instead have their trash picked up on Tuesday and Friday. The normal Tuesday/Friday residents will have their trash collected on Wednesday and Saturday. Large Crowd Gathers at St. Peters City Hall to Honor Memorial Day

The St. Peters Veterans Commission hosted the annual Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony in front of a packed house early Monday morning.

On a warm Memorial Day morning in St. Peters a dozens showed up to City Hall to remember what the holiday really stands for.  Flags were everywhere at City Hall as the St. Peters Veterans Commission hosted the annual Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony early Monday morning. Tiny American flags lined the veterans' memorials while a large flag connected by fire engine ladders from Central County Fire and Rescue  and the Cottleville Fire District flapped in the breeze. The Patriot Guard Riders, new to the event this year, stood on a hill holding flags. Their motorcycles, left in the parking lot, had more flags on the patriotic holiday. St. Peters Sets Holiday Hours for Memorial Day

St. Peters City Hall will be closed for Memorial Day, but the Rec-Plex will remain open.

Memorial Day is coming up and that means St. Peters' offices will observe holiday hours. St. Peters City Hall, Cultural Arts Centre, and the Earth Centre will all be closed in observance of Memorial Day. Recycle City, including aluminum can buy-back and trash acceptance, will be also be closed on May 28. The Recycle City Drop-Off area will remain open. Trash service will also be impacted with the holiday. Trash customers on the Monday/Thursday schedule will have their trash collected on Tuesday/Friday.
