MoDOT hopes to open the bridge in Mid-August, three months ahead of the original schedule.
The Blanchette Bridge project is progressing ahead of schedule. On Friday morning Missouri Department of Transportation District Engineer Ed Hassinger and St. Charles Mayor Sally Faith said Friday morning that the project could be finished three months ahead of schedule. When the westbound bridge was closed November 2, 2012, plans called for the shutdown to last for a maximum of one year. However Hassinger said MoDOT is pushing to open the bridge annual Festival of the Little Hills in mid-August. If MoDOT hits that goal, the project would be done three months ahead of the original schedule. The Missouri Department of Transportation will close one lane on westbound Route 370 and on eastbound Interstate 70 for up to a month starting Tuesday, May 14.
One lane of westbound Route 370 will be closed for up to a month to help with the interchange improvement project at Mid Rivers Mall Drive. Beginning Tuesday morning, the Missouri Department of Transportation will close one lane on westbound Route 370 and on eastbound Interstate 70, weather permitting. Starting at 8 a.m., crews will shut down the left lane of westbound Route 370 between the Salt River Road exit and westbound I-70. Then on Wednesday, May 15, crews will close the left lane of eastbound Route 370 from eastbound I-70 to just east of the north outer road flyover. Eastbound I-70 will need to use the two right exit lanes to access eastbound Route 370. These lane closures are expected to last for approximately one month for …

The Missouri Department of Transportation will close two lanes of westbound Interstate 70 at Route 370 tonight from 7 p.m. for bridge work.
Lane closures are coming to Interstate 70 in St. Peters on Wednesday night. The Missouri Department of transportation will close two lane of westbound Interstate 70 at Route 370 tonight, Wednesday, May 8. The closure will begin at 7 p.m. and is expected to be finished no later than 5 .m. on Thursday morning. MoDOT crews will be doing bridge repair work to the westbound I-70 bridge over Route 370. MoDOT is advising motorists to avoid westbound I-70 after the evening rush hour. As an alternate route, MoDOT is suggesting drivers use Route 370. Motorists using westbound Route 370 ramp will connect to westbound I-70 west of the location where the bridge crew is working.

MoDOT will doing pavement repairs at Route 79 and re-striping on the Blanchette Bridge.
The Missouri Department of Transportation will be busy on Monday in St. Charles County. MoDOT will close the far right lane of eastbound Interstate 70 near Route 79 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, April 29 for pavement repairs, weather permitting. The lane closure will begin just east of Route 79. The entrance ramp from Route 79 to eastbound I-70 will also be closed. Northbound Route 79 motorists are advised to follow the message boards and use the north outer road to detour and access eastbound I-70. Closer to St. Louis, MoDOT will close multiple lanes in each direction on Interstate 70 at the Blanchette Missouri River Bridge from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Monday. The Missouri Department of Transportation will close the far right lane of westbound Interstate 70 near Route 79 on Monday, April 22 at 3 a.m. The closure begins a half mile east of Route 79 and ends at the Route 79 exit. This closure will remain in place for the next three months. The Route 79 exit remains open. This work is part of a project constructing a diverging diamond interchange (DDI). The project also includes the construction of an additional westbound I-70 lane between Mid Rivers Mall Drive and Route 79.
