Mid Rivers Mall Interchange Project Underway

MoDOT crews are working on rebuilding the interchange in St. Peters.

Construction on the diverging diamond intersection upgrade at Interstate 70 and Mid Rivers Mall Drive is underway in St. Peters.  Work started in March as crews began to build a diverging diamond interchange and add an additional lane to westbound I-70. The $13 million project is being paid for with federal, regional and local money. The Missouri Department of Transportation expects the project to be completed in time for the holiday shopping season at Mid Rivers Mall. The project is expected to be completed by Oct. 31.

Volunteers Needed for MoDOT's 'No MOre Trash! Bash' Saturday

Join the Missouri Department of Transportation, community leaders and other volunteers to help pick up litter on Missouri roads.

Join the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), community leaders and other volunteers for the department's annual "No More Trash! Bash" on April 6. MoDOT will supply participants with trash bags, safety vests, litter pickers and gloves and will guide volunteers along the routes while picking up litter. The goal of the event is to spread awareness of Missouri's litter problem and work toward a litter-free state. If interested in participating, you can meet at one of the following trash bash locations at 9 a.m. on Saturday: The event kicks off a month-long initiative, sponsored by the Missouri Departments of Transportation and Conservation to clean up Missouri, according to a MoDOT news release. One Additional Lane Closed I-70 Blanchette Bridge Tuesday

The westbound lane closure will start at 9 a.m.

The following information was provided by the Missouri Department of Transportation One additional lane on westbound and then eastbound Interstate 70 at the Blanchette Missouri River Bridge will be closed on Tuesday, April 2 for maintenance work.  The westbound lane closure will start at 9 a.m. When crews complete the pavement repairs westbound, they will close one lane in the eastbound direction.  The work should be complete by noon. Motorists are advised to use Route 370 or Route 364 as alternate Missouri River crossings.  The additional lane reduction will leave only two lanes open for traffic. Motorists are advised to slow down in the work zone and obey the posted 45 mph speed limit.

Major Changes Coming to I-70, Mid Rivers Mall Drive Intersection as Construction Begins

Construction crews began construction on the Mid Rivers Mall Drive/Interstate 70 interchange on Monday. Over the next several months, several significant changes will take place in efforts to improve traffic.

Construction on the diverging diamond intersection upgrade at Interstate 70 and Mid Rivers Mall Drive started Monday in St. Peters and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31. Crews will build a diverging diamond interchange and add an additional lane to westbound Interstate 70. The $13 million project is being paid for with federal, regional and local money.  This week, crews will build a temporary slip ramp from westbound Interstate 70 to the North Outer Road, which will go to one-way traffic between the slip ramp and Mid Rivers Mall Drive.  Starting the week of March 18, the loop ramps will be closed, which means drivers exiting from westbound I-70 to Mid Rivers Mall will have to use the slip ramp. Have Questions About Page Extension Project? MoDOT Schedules Meeting

The Missouri Department of Transportation will hold a meeting to discuss the schedule for phase 3 of the Route 364 Page Avenue Extension Project on March 26.

The Missouri Department of Transportation will hold an open house from 4 to 7 p.m. March 26 at St. Charles Community College to answer questions about phase 3 of the Route 364 Page Avenue Construction project.  MoDOT recently awarded the contract for the $118.2 million project. Construction on the final phase of the Route 364 extension project is expected to begin in May and be completed by Fall 2014. The  Crews will build a four-lane highway between Mid Rivers Mall Drive in St. Peters and the Route N and Interstate 64 interchange in Lake Saint Louis.  The road will continue from Mid Rivers Mall Drive through farm land or flood plains out to Route K and then out to Bryan Road.  Anyone interested in seeing maps of the project is invited to …

1.) With the increased traffic on the Daniel Boone Bridge due to lane closures on the Blanchette, why did they decide to do blasting now? It doesn't make sense to have closures on one of the alternate routes. Drivers in the Lake St. Louis/Wentzville area do not have easy access to the Page extension. 2.) MoDOT Says I-64 and Highway 141 Are Now Back Open To Traffic

Parts of Interstate 64 and Highway 141 were shut down for as much as 3.5 hours Thursday night to give crews time to attack snow accumulations in the area.

7:01 p.m. Update MoDOT confirms that the closures of Intestate 64 and Highway 141 have ended. 5:17 p.m. Update:   According to the St. Louis County Office of Emergency Management, I-64 is now open in West. St. Louis County in both directions. A MoDOT engineer confirms the following road closures to Patch as crews try to take advantage of a lull in weather conditions MoDOT's St. Louis Maintenance Engineer Becky Allmeroth told Patch that the I-64 closure was already an hour in progress at approximately 4:45 p.m. Allmeroth said the weather event has played out "almost exactly" as was expected, although there has been more accumulations of snow. She added that major arterials should be cleared in time for the Friday morning commute. Forecasts …
