The motorcyclist hit an object in the roadway and overturned.
A motorcyclist was injured following a crash on Interstate 70 in St. Peters on Saturday afternoon. At 2:30 p.m. Anthony C Mooney, 56, of Winfield Mo., crashed his 2009 Harley Davidson Sportster. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash took place on eastbound Interstate 70 just west of Mid Rivers Mall Drive after Mooney struck an object in the roadway. After striking the object, Mooney's motorcycle overturned. There were no other vehicles involved in the crash. Mooney was taken by St. Charles County ambulance to St. Joseph Health Center with minor injuires. The motorcycle was extensively damaged in the crash.

A St. Peters man sustained minor injuries following a collision with another St. Peters driver during the Labor Day Weekend. Robertson Ambulance took to Ronald L. Gidden, 57, to DePaul Hospital just after 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 2, with what the Missouri State Highway Patrol said were minor injuries. Gidden was injured after a collision on Missouri Route 370 at the Earth City Expressway. According to the crash report , a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt driven by 25-year-old St. Peters resident Samantha R. Barbour was traveling eastbound on 370. Gidden's2011 Harley Davidson motorcycle were parked in the left shoulder. Matthew Altomore escaped injury after being rear-ended by another motorcyclist on Interstate 64.
A St. Peters man was uninjured in a two-car crash on Wednesday, May 27. Matthew Altomore, 20, was driving his 2008 Suzuki GSX-R eastbound on Interstate 64 at the 5.4-mile marker when another driver made contact with the rear of his vehicle. Ian Lebron-Cortez, 26, of O'Fallon, struck the rear of Altomore’s motorcycle, which caused his 2005 Suzuki GSX-R to overturn. Lebron-Cortez and a passenger, Autumn Stapleton, 21, of O’Fallon, were ejected from the vehicle. Lebron-Cortez and Stapleton were taken to Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur by St. Charles County Ambulance. The two sustained what was classified by the Highway Patrol as moderate injuries. Missouri Highway Patrolmen arrested a St. Peters woman after she led them on a motorcycle chase Saturday on Interstate 70 and down side streets, reaching speeds of 95 mph and more. Amanda Leigh Schlueter, 20, of the first block of Rose Drive in St. Peters, is being charged with resisting arrest. A Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper said in a report that when he tried to pull Schlueter over for careless driving and speeding on her motorcycle on I-70 west of Bryan Road, she refused to pull over. Instead, she traveled at speeds of up to 90 to 95 mph, weaved in and out of traffic, changed lanes “and performed dangerous stunts at a high rate of speed,” according to the trooper’s report.
