Third Tee Kay Babysitter Pleads Guilty to Sodomy

St. Charles County investigators said the cases were among the worst child abuse crimes they had ever seen.

A third babysitter pleaded guilty to sodomizing children as young as 7 months old in the Tee Kay Mobile Manor area. St. Charles County Sheriff’s investigators said the crimes were the worst cases of child sexual abuse they’d ever seen. John Scott Thomas III, 28, of the first block of Tee Kay in St. Charles County, pleaded guilty Tuesday to eight counts of first-degree statutory sodomy and one count of first-degree statutory rape. As part of the plea, St. Charles County prosecutors agreed to cap Thomas’ sentence at 30 years. The defense can request a suspended sentence or can argue for a lesser sentence. The sentencing guidelines are from 10 to 30 years in prison with lifetime supervision or life imprisonment. Sentencing has been delayed …

Man Sentenced to Seven Years for Sex Crimes

Jason Champion pleaded guilty Friday to six sexually related crime, including statutory rape, statutory sodomy and sexual assault.

A St. Peters man pleaded guilty to six sex crimes Friday in St. Charles County Circuit Court. Jason Champion, 22, of the first block of Churchill Downs Drive in St. Peters, entered a guilty plea to two counts of sexual assault, two counts of second-degree statutory rape, and two counts of statutory sodomy. Circuit Court Judge Ted House sentenced Champion to seven years in prison on each count. The sentences will run concurrently. Prosecutors dismissed five charges against Champion: two counts of forcible rape, two counts of child molestation and one count of forcible sodomy. Champion was accused of raping a 16-year-old girl at a mutual friend's apartment. The victim told police the two weren't alone in the apartment, but Champion waited …

St. Charles County Man Indicted on 11 Sex Crime Charges

The charges include four incidents dating back to June 2011, police said.

A St. Charles County man was indicted by a St. Charles County grand jury Friday on 11 counts of sex crimes, including forcible rape and child molestation. Jason W. Champion, 22, of the first block of Churchill Downs Drive in unincorporated St. Charles County near St. Peters, faces the following charges: The charges stem from incidents on four dates: June 4, 2011; June 24, 2011; May 21 and June 17. Champion originally was charged with forcible rape and statutory sodomy in St. Peters on May 21. An investigation uncovered more allegations, including some in St. Charles, according to police. Champion is being held in St. Charles County Corrections in lieu of a $100,000, cash-only bond. His request for a bond reduction was denied July 25. For …

Warrenton Man Gets 13-Year Sentence for Rec-Plex Incident

Kevin Wayne Weckherlin pleaded guilty to first-degree statutory sodomy and was sentenced to 13 years in prison for having sexual contact in a hot tub at the St. Peters Rec-Plex in October 2010.
