March's surprise snow storm hit on Sunday morning. The relentless snow wouldn't stop falling and now many studetns (and teachers, too) are left wondering if school be called off for Monday. Michael Stewart, 18, of the 3000 block Willow Wood Drive, was charged Jan. 22 with two counts of intent to distrubte a controlled substance relating to an incident on March 2, 2012, at Francis Howell North High School.
A St. Charles teen has been arrested and charged with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance with an intent to distribute after traded prescription bills for cigarettes. Michael Stewart, 18, of the 3000 block Willow Wood Drive, was charged Jan. 22 with two counts of intent to distribute a controlled substance relating to an incident on March 2, 2012, at Francis Howell North High School. According to the probable cause statement, police said that Stewart was in possession of five hydrocodone and acetaminophen, 0.5 grams of methylphenidate and one amphetamine pill. St. Peters Police said Stewart took the pills, knowing they were a controlled substance, from his parents with the intent to sell to a juvenile at the school. …

A St. Charles man was arrested after St. Peters Police say the man took sporting goods from Walmart. Matthew Lee Perrey, 24, of the 100 block of McDonough in St. Charles, was charged on Dec. 13 with stealing and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. The stealing charge is a felony charge because it's Perrey's third stealing related offense since 2010. St. Peters Police said that on Dec. 12, Perrey took a catcher's mitt and a pair of batting gloves from Walmart. Police said Perrey is an admitted drug user and found him with two used syringes, a tourniquet and burnt bottom of a soda can in his jacket pocket. Perrey pled guilty to stealing on July 27, 2012, and on Jan. 10, 2011. According to the probable cause statement, perry has been …

In an effort to get work done to prepare for the closure of the westbound I-70 Blanchette Bridge the first weekend of November, MoDOT crews will be shutting down three lanes starting at 8 p.m. on Friday.
In just two weeks, after months of preparation, the Missouri Department of Transportation will begin the Blanchette Bridge westbound closure and detouring. But before that takes place, prep work still need to be done. This weekend MoDOT will close three lanes on the eastbound side of the bridge. The closures will begin at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19 and run until 5 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 21. With the three lanes closed, at least two eastbound lanes will remain open throughout the weekend. The lanes aren't the only things that will be shut down. For safety reasons, ramps from northbound and southbound Fifth Street to eastbound Interstate 70 will also be closed from 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19 until 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20. MoDOT is encouraging …
