Police: Man Stole Minivan in Wentzville, Crashed In St. Peters

Daniel J. Reynolds was charged with tampering with a motor vehicle.

A man wrecked a minivan that was reported stolen in Wentzville April 16. Daniel J. Reynolds, 42, of the 800 block of Railway Circle in Wentzville, was charged April 24 with tampering with a motor vehicle. Wentzville Police said Reynolds stole a 2005 Dodge Caravan from the 1400 block of Vero Drive April 16, taking the vehicle without the owner’s consent. Wentzville Police put out a vehicle description and license plate number, and an O’Fallon Police officer spotted the Caravan on eastbound Interstate 70 near Mid Rivers Mall Drive. The O’Fallon officer pursued the Caravan as it exited onto Mid Rivers Mall Drive and struck another vehicle. Both vehicles were disabled. St. Peters Police officers arrested Reynolds. St. Peters Man Indicted For Beating and Tying Up Roommate

Kenneth Canamore also stole the man's car, police said.

A St. Peters man was indicted by a St. Charles grand jury Feb. 15 after being accuse of knocking out his roommate’s teeth, tying him up with an electrical cord and stealing his car. Kenneth Canamore, 29, of the 400 block of Church Street in St. Peters, was indicted Feb. 15 on charges of felonious restraint, third-degree assault and tampering with a motor vehicle. St. Peters Police said Canamore punched his roommate-knocking out his teeth-Nov. 3 in the 400 block of Church Street. He then tied the man up and took his 2003 Nissan Altima, police said. He also was charged Feb. 15 with violating a protection order. Canamore is being held in St. Charles County jail. Bail was set at $50,000 for the felonious restrain, assault and tampering charges…

Accused Choked Man Unconscious, Stole Ex-Girlfriend's Car, Deputy Says

St. Charles County officials also said Brooks Hoy choked a second man and pushed his girlfriend and another woman.

A man is accused of choking another man into unconsciousness Feb. 19 in the Harvester area, choked another man and then stole his ex-girlfriend’s car. Brooks Hoy, 21, whose address was listed in Columbia, was charged Feb. 19 with tampering with a car, two counts of third-degree assault, third-degree domestic assault and resisting arrest. A St. Charles County Sheriff’s deputy said Hoy was arguing with another man and choked him long enough that he went unconscious Feb. 19 in the 600 block of Emerald Meadows Court. A third man hit Hoy in the head with a baseball bat to make him let go, according to the report. The deputy said Hoy also choked another man, who was trying to make Hoy let go of the first man.
