School Safety Task Force Submits Initial Report of Findings

The task force compiled 12 recommendations based on the findings of the two meetings.

After two meetings in January the Schools, Mental Health and Emergency Services Task Force has submitted its Initial Report of Findings to St. Charles County Executive Steve Ehlmann. The Task Force was tasked with making initial findings to the County Executive on security measures, policies and training, enhanced security options, on-site school security reviews, and other measures designed to enhance the security of schools throughout the county and on Feb. 7 it did just that. More Resource Officers, 'Panic Buttons' Among Recommendations of School Safety Task Force

The St. Charles County Schools, Mental Health And Emergency Services Task Force met for the second time and came up with recommendations to make to the St. Charles County Council.

The St. Charles County school safety task force may not have any legislative power, but that didn't stop it from making suggestions for improvements on Tuesday.  Two weeks after the first meeting of the Schools, Mental Health And Emergency Services Task Force, the 14-member panel of school administrators, law enforcement and mental health professionals met for the second time early Tuesday at the Spencer Road Library. Monitor and track who pose a threat! That is a joke. All Zumwalt will do is kick the kids out of school. Following kids on twitter and reading what they say does nothing. Kids put music lyrics on twritter and if Teachers and Principals dont know the song then right away they think something is wrong with that kid and we need to kick him out.
