St. Peters Police said Nathaniel A. Gathing, 35, of Wentzville pointed the gun at another driver and then tried to evade police.
A Wentzville man is accused of pointing a handgun at his girlfriend’s husband while driving on Interstate 70 in St. Peters. Nathaniel A. Gathing, 35, of the 500 block of Great Oaks Meadow in Wentzville, was charged by St. Charles County prosecutors May 2 with unlawful use of a weapon. St. Peters Police said a driver was westbound on I-70 at the Cave Springs exit when a teal Camaro, driven by Gathing, pulled up next to him. He said Gathing began yelling at him, and the man rolled down his window to hear what the Gathing was saying. A St. Charles County man kicked his girlfriend Sunday, according to a St. Charles County Sheriff’s Department report. Jason E. Benskin, 36, of the 2800 block of Mulberry Lane in St. Charles County east of St. Peters, was charged with third-degree domestic assault. A deputy said Benskin and his girlfriend were arguing when he became aggressive and kicked her in the abdomen as he was laying on a bed, pushing her backward into a dresser and onto the floor. The deputy said several people witnessed the assault and said Benskin was the aggressor. Benskin told the deputy he used his foot to push her away from him. A St. Peters man repeatedly struck his girlfriend in the face and head Nov. 14 in the first block of Rainbow Drive, police said. Michael J. Ingrassia, 37, of the first block of Rainbow Drive in St. Peters, was charged Nov. 15 with second-degree domestic assault. St. Peters Police said Ingrassia spit on his girlfriend numerous times, threw her on the bed, continued striking her and threatened to kill her. When she screamed for help, he put a pillow over her face. A Florissant man faces criminal charges in St. Peters after police said he assaulted his girlfriend on the shoulder of Interstate 370 Sept. 19. Timothy A. Nettles, 20, of the 800 block of Madison Lane in Florissant, was charged Sept. 19 with second-degree domestic assault. St. Peters Police said the couple was stopped along Interstate 370 at Salt River Road when Nettles pinned the woman down and struck her repeatedly in the face and arm and pulled her by her hair. A St. Peters man faces criminal charges after police said he attacked his girlfriend and his father. Frederick Peiffer III, 28, of the 1100 block of Athena Way in St. Peters, was charged Sept. 16 with third-degree domestic assault and third-degree assault. St. Peters Police said Peiffer choked his girlfriend and pushed her head against a car window, leaving her with a sore neck. He also threatened to cut his girlfriend’s throat and cut her into pieces, according the police report. Police said witnesses also saw Peiffer punching and kicking her father in the face and legs. A St. Charles County man faces criminal charges after police said he tackled his girlfriend, causing her to hit her head and put a football-sized hole in the living room wall. A Fastlane employee attacked another employee July 30 at gas station at 301 Salt Lick Road in St. Peters. St. Peters Police said Douglas Hoops Jr., 19, punched the other employee in the eye, threw items at him, damaged displays and merchandise and threatened the other Fastlane employee. When police arrived, Hoops hit an officer and spit on him, according to court documents.
