Drug Task Force members got a warrant on the home of Gregory Jennings and Darla Smithson after finding the couple bought more than 100 pseudoephedrine boxes in two years. Officers saw several high-powered rifles while walking through the home.
A St. Peters couple is accused of making methamphetamine in their home on Michelle Lane. Gregory Jennings, 48, and Darla Smithson, 46, both of the first block of Michelle Lane in St. Peters, each were charged March 7 with possessing a chemical with intent to make a controlled substance. Jennings also was charged with possession of a controlled substance. St. Charles County Regional Drug Task Force detectives said Jennings bought 52 boxes of pseudoephedrine since Aug. 16, 2010, and Smithson bought 53 boxes since Aug. 20, 2010. Three people face heroin dealing charges after St. Charles County Drug Task Force detectives searched a home in the 100 block of Westgate Drive Feb. 7 in St. Peters. Three people were charged with distributing a controlled substance after detectives found heroin and drug-related items in the home: Kearbey and Stever were charged Feb. 8. Salyers was charged Feb. 11. Drug Task Force members said they executed a search warrant on the home and found capsules containing heroin, cut straws, a grinder with heroin residue, empty capsules with heroin residue and baggies. A St. Charles County Drug Task Force investigation found a stash of drugs in the woman's floor vent several months after she sold meth to an undercover officer.
A O’Fallon woman was indicted by a St. Charles County grand jury Friday on eight drug charges. The woman, Lisa Ann Ray, 44, was indicted on two counts of distributing a controlled substance, five counts of possessing a controlled substance and possessing drug-related items. St. Charles County Drug Task Force detectives said Ray sold methamphetamine to an undercover officer June 7, 2012, at 281 Mid Rivers Mall Drive in St. Peters. Detectives searched her home in the first block of Green Tree Lane in O’Fallon Sept. 11 and said they found several items hidden in a bag inside a floor vent. St. Charles County Drug Task Force members found an active methamphetamine lab on Gateswood Court in St. Peters. The man was cooking meth with children present in the home, police said. Dustin Parnell, 22, of Gateswood Court, was charged Nov. 30 with manufacturing methamphetamine and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. A Drug Task Force detective said they received a report of an active meth lab at the home. They arrived and searched the home, finding an active meth lab in the basement, four used one-pot meth labs and chemicals used to make meth. A St. Peters woman faces charges of growing marijuana within 2,000 feet of a school and possession of a controlled substance. St. Charles County Drug Task Force detectives said they executed a search warrant Aug. 17 on Pamela Potter, 52, of the 700 block of Estes Park in St. Peters. Detectives said they found marijuana growing, methamphetamine and chemicals needed to make meth in her home. Potter lives less than 2,000 feet from Mid Rivers Elementary School. Three people were charged Thursday, July 12, 2012, with making and possessing methamphetamine in O’Fallon after authorities received a tip about a meth lab. Charged with making and possessing methamphetamine were: Acting on a tip, St. Charles County Drug Task Force members went to a mobile home July 10 on Thoroughbred Drive in O’Fallon and saw two men leave the house and get in a pickup truck. A man was charged Friday with making methamphetamine in a St. Charles County home. Edward Corbett, 56, is charged with manufacturing meth. His address was listed in the first block of Mill Bridge Drive in St. Peters. The St. Charles County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant for the home in the 400 block of Wright Drive on Oct. 12. The home is in a pocket of unincorporated St. Charles County between Interstate 370 and Fox Hill Road. According to a task force report, detectives found two “one-pot” meth labs, meth, meth ingredients and supplies to make and cook meth. Corbett’s fingerprint was on the meth lab equipment, detectives said in the report. Bond was set at $30,000.

A St. Peters man was charged Thursday with possessing methamphetamine and assaulting a law enforcement officer. Robert Axetell, 46, of the 200 block of Autumn Court in St. Peters, also faces charges of marijuana possession and resisting arrest. Detectives with the St. Charles County Drug Task Force said they noticed several pseudoephedrine purchases under Axetell’s name, and they visited his home. According to the drug task force report, Axetell consented to a search of his home. Detectives found a baggie with a small amount of marijuana, foils used to smoke meth, and a bag with a white powdery residue.
