A man admitted disabling his stepfather’s video surveillance system during a March 20 burglary and stealing jewelry from his home in St. Peters. Michael Anthony Glatz pleaded guilty to second-degree burglary and felony theft and was placed on five years probation by St. Charles County Circuit Court Judge Jon A. Cunningham. Glatz ran through a wooden fence, dropping some stolen jewelry, when his stepfather arrived at his home in the 1400 block of Ticonderoga Drive, according to St. Peters Police. Glatz told police he was high on Xanax when he ran through the fence, according to a court document. The stepfather had been monitoring the surveillance system and saw that it had been disabled. A St. Charles County deputy said he found Anthony James Cissi carrying a stolen computer down a Harvester street May 8. He was placed on two years probation on May 6 for stealing.
A 20-year-old man is accused of stealing a laptop computer from a car on May 8 in Harvester. Two days previously, he had been placed on probation for another theft case. Anthony James Cissi, 20, of the 3900 block of Cambridge Crossing in the Harvester area, was charged May 9 with misdemeanor stealing. A St. Charles County Sheriff’s deputy said he found Cissi walking and carrying a computer bag May 8 on Pecan Hill Drive near Cambridge Crossing. The spot was near 11 Mouser Drive, where the laptop had been stolen. Cissi pleaded guilty May 6 to another misdemeanor theft and was placed on two years probation. A woman who stole $232,000 from her St. Peters-based employer was placed on five years probation after pleading guilty May 6. Melinda Tucker, of the 1900 block of Prairie Point Road in O’Fallon, credited her personal credit cards with refunds from Motor Vehicle Solutions, her employer, 128 times between March 2011 and May 2012. Tucker also is ordered to pay restitution at a rate of $200 per month until she is employed. When she is employed, the rate will go up at an amount determined by her probation officer. St. Charles County deputies responding to a call found a Harvester man near a burglarized home Monday with items stolen from the home. Jacob Shearer, 28, of the 4000 block of Cambridge Crossing Drive, was charged with second-degree burglary and misdemeanor theft. A St. Charles County Sheriff’s deputy said Shearer also left evidence behind in the home in the first block of Cambridge Crossing Court. He had taken $51.97 in change from the home, the deputy said. A Harvester man faces theft charges after police said he was caught on videotape stealing two gold bracelets from a St. Peters jewelry store. Jeramie Michael Conner, 23, of the 3700 block of Nottingham Court in Harvester, was charged Friday with felony stealing. St. Peters Police said Conner went into Smith Jewelry and Coins at 4213 S Old Highway 94 on May 1. Police said while the store owner’s back was turned, Conner took two men’s gold bracelets from a display case. A side door to the case had been left open. The bracelets are valued at $800 and $700. O'Fallon Police said Alex Stigall and Jermel Higgins worked together to identify an older person getting a prescription they wanted, and Stigall grabbed the medication in the O'Fallon Walmart parking lot.
Two teens worked together to grab a prescription from a 69-year-old woman after she left the Walmart pharmacy in O’Fallon. Patch reported earlier that Alex Michael Stigall, 18, of the 4000 block of Southridge Drive in St. Peters, and Jermel Higgins, 18, of the 300 block of San Juan Drive in St. Charles, were charged Thursday for physically taking property from a victim. O’Fallon Police said Stigall and Higgins sat in the Walmart pharmacy at 1307 Highway K, and Higgins pointed out a woman who was getting a prescription they wanted. Stigall followed her out to the parking lot, came up behind her, ripped the bag out of the 69-year-old woman’s hands and ran off towards his car, police said. A St. Peters man is accused of kicking in his neighbor’s apartment door and stealing several items on Friday. Shannon Zeiss, 33, of the 700 block of Highlands Hill Court in St. Peters, was charged Monday with second-degree burglary and felony stealing. St. Peters Police said Zeiss stole two televisions and a Wii game system from his neighbor’s apartment. The items are valued at a total of $1,054. Zeiss was arrested for the crime Saturday. A St. Charles County woman faces a felony theft charge after using a fake ID at several stores in St. Louis County. Jovanna Davis, 35, of the 3300 block of Arlington Avenue in the Harvester area in St. Charles County, was charged with identity theft March 22. St. Peters Police said Davis told them a man approached her and asked if she wanted to work for him “since she was unemployed and needed money to support her five children.” Davis told police she agreed, and the man told her to get a passport photo and to give it to him. Soon, an Illinois driver’s license arrived in the mail with another person’s information and Davis’ photo. Davis said she met the man at Home Depot stores in Overland, Bridgeton and Ferguson and a Weekends Only store …

St. Peters Police said Middleton researched reposessed homes in the area and then broke into the vacant houses to steal copper pipes, wiring and other fixtures.
A man previously charged with burglarizing four vacant homes for copper pipes and wiring now faces 26 such charges in St. Peters. Joshua Middleton, 23, of the 400 block of Briscoe Lane in O’Fallon, is being charged with 25 counts of second-degree burglary and one count of felony theft. Most of the burglaries are said to have taken place between December 2011 and January 2012. A Harvester man is accused of receiving stolen property and theft, and may be charged with more crimes, according to a court document. Anthony Cissi, 19, of the 3900 block of Cambridge Crossing in the Harvester-area, was charged March 11 with stealing, a Class A misdemeanor. He also was charged March 8 with receiving stolen property, a class C felony. A St. Charles County Sheriff’s Department detective said Cissi stole a backpack Jan. 24 from a car on the street where he lives. The backpack contained a calculator and textbooks.
