I always loved working with the elderly.  My career began in high school attending the nursing assistant co-op program with training at the local nursing home.  It was there I became passionate about the elderly.  During my nursing school training I was able to work along side the Visiting Nurses in Kalamazoo, Michigan.  For me there is no place like home to care for your loved ones.

In 1991 I had the opportunity to open a homecare company for the seniors in the area.  Nurses & Company began with four employees, three of which are still with the company today including Myself, Jean Weber, RN and Lynn Chartrand. Our passion was and is to provide quality, cost-effective home care to seniors. As the needs of the community continued to grow, so did Nurses & Company.  In 1997, Nurses & Company built a new facility at 115 Piper Hill Drive in St. Peters.  The building would also house Seniors & Company, an Adult Day Care facility, and the building would be constructed from the exact specifications of a certified adult day care facility.

My vision for the company did not end there.  I realized that Nurses & Company had the opportunity to further the spectrum of care for its patients.  I understood that this continuity of care would provide both patients and their caregivers peace of mind and control of their health care choices.  In 2007 Nurses & Company Hospice Care was founded. Since then, the Hospice Team has had the privilege to share in over 300 life journey’s. At that time, Nurses & Company also began offering Private Duty Services to further assist our patients to stay in their homes longer.

Nurses & Company constantly strives to assist patients, especially those with financial limitations.  I founded the Nurses & Company Home Health and Hospice Foundation to be a lifeline for patients who have financial limitations for medical care and supplies.

Since inception, it has been Nurses & Company’s passion to provide the highest quality of care, and that remains true today.
