About Kanna

I'm a born and raised St. Charles girl, and it looks like I'm here to stay. I'm a Marketing Specialist at St. Charles Community College, and I absolutely love it.

I'd like to think of myself as a go-getter. In a nutshell, I'm a sports fanatic, social media geek, die-hard Cards fan, sushi lover and an STL girl at heart.

I'm always up for trying new things, and I love staying busy and doing things around St. Louis. I like taking road trips to places outside of St. Louis, too, including frequent trips to Chicago, Kansas City, the lake and various wineries in Missouri.

I'm a Truman State grad and while I miss Kirksville and the "college life," I do not have any current plans to go back to school... yet.

I'm a busy body and I like to stay active! I play softball, tennis, soccer and broomball, and I'm very competitive. I also like to run, bike and work out when I can.

I also volunteer as the marketing and communications chair for Relay For Life, an annual fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. I lost my dad in Dec. 2011 to brain cancer, and I will continue the fight against in cancer in his honor.

Lastly, a lot of people ask me about my name. My mom is from Okinawa, Japan, and my parents named me "Kanna" (pronounced kah-na) which is Japanese for October, the month I was born in.

Anything else you want to know, just ask me or follow me on Twitter (@KannaTaylor) for daily updates!

Hi,

I am working on a feature film that is helping a great cause as well as offering people the opportunity to get involved with the film. I think this would be a great story to write about and tell people. I just wanted to pass this along. …Or If it’s not too much trouble, pledge on something (they are offering great things!) and if you can also please pass this along to your friends.

If I can help you out with anything or the production can help you with anything, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Here is the link for the film:
