"Dirty Fingernails Say A Lot III" Opening Reception

  • When/Where? Friday, Jan. 13 at 6 p.m. at the , 520 N Main Ctr. in St. Charles.
  • What? The Foundry Art Centre presents this exhibition with a free opening reception on Friday from 6-8 p.m. Complimentary refreshments will be served and the show’s award winners will be announced. The show features hand-pulled prints and celebrates the traditional methods and hard work that create handmade prints in an age of high-speed solutions. The show’s juror is Tom Huck, well-known St. Louis printmaker and owner of Evil Prints. “Dirty Fingernails” will run until Feb. 24.

After Hours Teen Movie "Thor"

  • When/Where? Friday, Jan. 13 at 6 p.m. at , 2323 Elm St. in St. Charles.  
  • What? Enjoy free snacks while watching the movie "Thor," a story about the powerful but arrogant warrior who is cast out of Asgard and sent to live among humans on Earth. Free snacks and bottled water served.The movie is rated PG13. Teens under 16 must be signed in and out by a parent. Attendees must be between ages 11 and 17.

St. Louis Winter Festival Hunter/Jumper Series

  • When/Where? All day on Saturday, Jan. 14 at the , 6880 Lake Saint Louis Blvd. 
  • What? The St. Louis Winter Festival Hunter-Jumper Series at the National Equestian Center in Lake Saint Louis offers United States Equestrian Federation AA- and A-rated classes including $10,000, $15,000 or $25,000 Grand Prix's, Hunter Classics, Circuit Rider Cash Bonuses, and a USHJA $25,000 Hunter Derby. Riders and horses of all ages and levels compete in hand, over fences and on the flat.

Open Auditions For SCC Center Stage Theatre’s “Harvey”

  • When/Where? Saturday, Jan. 14 at 1 p.m. at , 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Dr. in Cottleville.  
  • What? Center Stage Theatre invites SCC students and community residents to audition at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, and 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, in Room 108 of the Donald D. There are parts for six men and six women. There are no children roles. The auditions will consist of cold readings from the script, which is on reserve in the SCC library. Audition For O'Fallon's Production of "Annie Jr."

  • When/Where? Sunday, Jan. 15 at 12 p.m. at , 100 N Main St. 
  • What? Performances of Annie Jr. will be held on April 20-22 and 27-29, 2012. The cast calls for 20 people ages 10 and older, adults as well as children. No experience is necessary, but auditioners should be ready to perform 16-bars or a one-minute section from a musical and bring a CD or sheet music in the appropriate key for accompaniment. Those who receive callbacks will do a reading from the script. Rehearsals will be held one or two evenings a week and on Sundays.
