Get Out: See 'It's a Wonderful Life,' Give Toys For Tots or Hear Christmas Carols

O'Fallon's Celebration of Lights 

  • When/Where? Dec. 16-18 at 6 p.m. at 
  • What? O’Fallon’s 19th Annual  is a display featuring holiday scenes along a one-mile route through Fort Zumwalt Park. No reservations are needed for a drive-through view. Visit the display from 6-9 p.m.Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday and from 6-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The display will be open until Dec. 30. Admission is $9 per car, $15 per van and $1 per person for tour busses (with a minimum of $25 per bus). For more information, visit the city's website

DJ Skate in St. Peters

  • When/Where? Friday, Dec. 16 from 7-9 p.m. at , 5200 Mexico Rd. in St. Peters.
  • What? Bring the kids out on to skate while DJ Funk Master plays the latest hits. Children can also enjoy games and prizes. Cost is Rec-Plex admission plus $3 for skate rentals. 

St. Peters City Centre Dance 

  • When/Where? Friday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. at , 1 Saint Peters Centre Blvd.
  • What? Adults get out and enjoy live band music from all eras. Advance tickets can be purchased at City Hall and are $6, and $7 at the door.

SCC Young People's Theatre Presents "It's a Wonderful Life"

  • When/Where? Friday, Dec. 16-18 at , 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Dr. in Cottleville 
  • What? The Young People’s Theatre of St. Charles Community College (SCC) presents a production of “It’s a Wonderful Life." Shows will be held at the Donald D. Shook Fine Arts Building theater on the SCC campus, 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Drive in Cottleville. Tickets are $8 for all ages. Shows start at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16 and Saturday Dec. 17. There will be daytime showings at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17 and Sunday, Dec. 18. 

Toys For Tots Christmas Party at Padavan's NY

  • When/Where? Friday, Dec. 16 from 6-10 p.m. at , 3249 Rue Royale in St. Charles
  • What? Padavan's NY will collect new unwrapped toys for children in need throughout the St. Louis area. This is the 10th Annual Toys For Tots Christmas Party sponsored by The Paladin Group. Complementary food and beverages are available for those who bring in toys.

H.O.P.P Night

  • When/Where? Friday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. at , 968 Meyer Rd. in Wentzville
  • What? Hangin' Out at Progress Park (HOPP) is a fun, safe opportunity for kids to spend some time with their friends, dance and listen to some of their favorite songs. Wentzville Police Officers supervise the event. Register at the front door and bring money for refreshments. Everyone is required to stay the entire time unless signed out by an adult. 

Holiday Night Lights Drive

  • When/Where? Dec. 16-18 at 6 p.m. at , 2577 W Meyer Rd. in Foristell.
  • What? This holiday lights display is open daily from Dec. 15-30 from 6-10 p.m. The one-mile light display costs $8 per car up to six people. Call 636-639-2082 for more information. 

Holiday Photos With Santa Paws 

  • When/Where? Dec. 17-18 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at PetSmart on Highway K in O'Fallon and on Zumbehl Road in St. Charles. 
  • What? Looking to take a holiday picture of your family pet? Come visit PetSmart this weekend and get your photo taken with Santa Paws. Family members are welcome to join in the photo.Proceeds from each photo purchase goes to , a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in based in O’Fallon. 

St. Louis Christmas Carols Association Carolers at The Meadows

  • When/Where? Saturday, Dec. 17 at 4 p.m. at , 20 Meadows Circle Dr. in Lake Saint Louis
  • What? Two choir groups from the St. Louis Christmas Carols Association (StLCCA) are singing holiday songs at the Meadows from 4-5 p.m.this weekend. 

'Twas The Night Before Christmas Storytelling

  • When/Where? Sunday, Dec. 18 at 12 p.m. at , 200 South Main St. in St. Charles 
  • What? Hear the traditional story of "The Night Before Christmas" told my Mrs. Claus in front of the fireplace while enjoying hot cider and cookies.
