St. Peters Gearing Up for Threat of Flooding

In addition to Lakeside Park, Sports Center Park and the Great Rivers Greenway trails at Rabbit Run and 370 Lakeside Park remain closed because of flooding threats.

Intense rain in recent days has swelled rivers, streams and creeks across the region and the city is St. Peters is prepared for flooding. 

With National Weather Service forecasts projecting flooding impacting the region, St. Peters is making preparations in the interest of public safety by closing public parks most impacted by potential flooding. 

Just like it did earlier this spring in the last threat of flood, city staff have closed 370 Lakeside Park to the general public effective immediately. In addition to Lakeside Park, Sports Center Park and the Great Rivers Greenway trails at Rabbit Run and 370 Lakeside Park remain closed.

These St. Peters parks and trails will be closed until the threat of flooding has ended.

St. Peters has reopened several parks along the Dardenne Creek that had been closed because of flooding watch. Rabbit Run, Woodlands Sports Park and Brown Road Park are now open.
