States each year, affecting all ages, races and
genders. Join Dr. Van Stavern as she explains
the warning signs and symptoms of stroke. She
will demonstrate how an innovative technology
–
robotic telemedicine
– can provide patients
immediate access to BJH and WU neurosurgeons,
neuro-radiologists and stroke neurologists. In
addition, Dr. Panagos will explain how emergency
medical services personnel (EMS) and hospital
staff use advanced diagnostic and treatment
processes to provide one of the fastest stroke
responses for delivery of tPA (a clot-busting drug).
