370 Lakeside Park Opens Thursday

Ribbon cutting planned for 4 p.m. Thursday to open St. Peters' newest park.

While not 100 percent complete, 370 Lakeside Park will soon be open to the public.

A 4 p.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for Thursday, May 19, at St. Peters newest park. After two years in the making, city leaders will officially open the the 300-acre park. 

The entrance to the park is located just north of the interchange of Highway 370 and Harry S. Truman Boulevard.

Boasting a 140-acre recreational lake, 370 Lakeside Park will have a three-mile trail surrounding the park for bikers and walkers. Vistors can also fish, with a license, in the fully-stocked lake. 

The park will also be open for camping. Near the lake, vistors can rent one of 50 pads at the RV camping site or one of 10 tent campsites. The RV Park offers both pull through and back in sites with 50-amp service. Guests of the RV Park will receive St. Peters resident rates at the recreation center with indoor pools, cardio/weight room and ice rinks. Just because the park is outdoors doesn't mean campers will have to leave the comoforts of home. Campers will receive free Wi-Fi. 

The park will also have on-site security. 

When the park is completed, plans will include park pavilions, large playgrounds, campgrounds for organized groups, a sand volleyball site, an archery range and a dog park.
