Ask the Patch Pro: Looking for Real Estate Experts

The St. Charles County Patches are looking for experts who have real estate knowledge to dole out advice to readers.

Let's be honest, whether you're thinking about buying or selling a house, it's a daunting task.

There's so much unknown in the world of real estate that both buyers and sellers (and the just curious) have tons of questions. That's where we want to help.

In our newest edition of "Ask the Patch Pro" we're wanting to find the answers to all sorts of real estate questions. But we need help. We need experts.

What are we looking for? People who know about real estate. Where's the best place to buy? When is the best time to sell? Should I put in that pool?

If you consider yourself a city expert, let us know two ways. One: You can leave a comment on this post. Two: You can send an email to stpeters@patch.com. We need experts to answer questions on Aug. 1.

So what do you say, who wants to be our expert?

The only thing I love more than Real Estate are my daughters. I know one of these is going to have a huge "appreciation factor" over the next few years. As a Licensed Mortgage Loan Officer, I have had the privilege of helping hundreds of people obtain the dream of homeownership over the past 13 years. The "yellow brick road" to homeownership starts with personal credit. Unlike the Donna Summer song, "She works hard for her money, so hard for it, honey," it takes more then being a diligent worker and responsible saver. A "wanna-be" homebuyer must prove themselves worthy by paying monthly debts on time. Money in the bank means nothing for a credit score. No credit or limited credit is like having a "gutted" bathroom. Who is going to buy a home with no toilet or vanity? Few banks will loan to you if you have no credit experience. You have to "build the bathroom" so it looks nice and clean, and don't forget the picture of the oversized fish to make it complete! In 2003, we thought the dream of homeownership was the right of every American. We soon learned it was only the right of every American to pursue homeownership. Not everyone is ready for the task. I would be honored to be a PRO for the awesome Patch readers. To provide insight into the advantageous opportunity of Buying in today's market. At Your Service, Kyle D.
