Bullying has gained national attention as of late. What do you do to make sure your kids aren't the bully or the victim of bullying?

Bullying is a big deal in modern society.

Seemingly every day a story of bullying is in the news—usually a victim has been pushed too far and something tragic happens. Just last week a video went viral of a longtime victim of bullying in Australia snapping and body-slamming the kid who had tormented him.

One common thread of most bully stories is that the parents didn't know much about what was going on at school.

All this bully talk bring us to today's question: How can you make sure your child lets you know if he/she is being bullied? What steps can you take to help them deal with a bullying situation? More importantly, how do you make sure your child is NOT the bully?
