Six Places to Pick Your Own Fruit Near St. Peters

Peach and Blackberry season is here! St. Peters is near to many local farms that offer visitors the chance to pick your own fruit, often at cheaper prices than you could find in a grocery store. Check out these places to pick.

1. Wind Ridge Farm: This pick-your-own farm is located in New Melle, MO and grows blueberries, peaches and blackberries. Check the Wind Ridge Farm Facebook page for dates and times they are open. 

2. Centennial Farms: Located in Augusta, MO, Centennial Farms has pick your own blackberries and peaches for sale by the half-peck. In the fall, they have pick your own apples and pumpkins available.

3. Thierbach Orchards: Thierbach Orchards in Marthasville, MO has sour cherries, blueberries and peaches available for picking. Cost is $1.49 a pound for peaches. The farm is open from 7 a.m. to noon and 4 to 8 p.m. 

4. Herman Farms: This farm in St. Charles has pick your own blackberries and peaches and apples. The farm is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

5. Eckert's: Eckert's has three farms in Illinois at which you can pick peaches, blackberries and pumpkins. Check out the picking schedule here.

6. Mills Apple Farm: Across the river in Illinois, Mills Apple Farm is about 25 minutes away from St. Louis. Head out on a fall weekend, ride the wagon and pick a bag full of apples.
