The Daily Dose is a look at the weather, what you may have missed and what's coming up on St. Peters Patch. This is the Jan. 16, 2012 edition.

Today is the day we remember the life of the great Martin Luther King Jr. Please don't just take the day off from work or school. Take some time to learn or remember Dr. King. 

It's going to be a lighter posting day around these parts—we're taking the day off in celebration of Dr. King. But don't worry, we'll still have plenty of things coming throughout the day.

The Forecast

Here's the St. Peters weather outlook for today and Tuesday from the National Weather Service

M.L.King Day: A 30 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 56. South wind between 13 and 16 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. 

Monday night: Occasional rain. Low around 33. South wind 7 to 11 mph becoming northwest. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent.

Tuesday: A chance of rain, mixing with snow after 8am, then gradually ending. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a temperature falling to around 28 by 5pm. Breezy, with a northwest wind between 13 and 22 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Tuesday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 15. Northwest wind between 13 and 16 mph becoming light.
