Less than Three Teen Lit/Anti-Bullying Conference

St. Charles City-County Library District is very proud to host the Less
Than Three Teen Lit/Anti-Bullying Conference that will bring teens, tweens,
booksellers, teachers, administrators, parents, librarians, authors and more to
rally against bullying. The full day conference which is spearheaded by New
York Times bestselling author Heather Brewer will feature panels of more than
20 bestselling and nationally recognized teen authors who have addressed
bullying in their books.  The panels will
focus on the various effects of bullying and positive approaches to tackling
the issue. Less Than Three Conference will bring people together, and get a
dialogue going about bullying and how it affects everyone.

The Less than Three Conference will be held on Saturday, October 19 at
the St. Charles City-County Library District Spencer Road Branch located at 427
Spencer Road in St. Peters, MO.  Tickets
for the full-day conference are $10 and may be purchased at www.lessthanthreeconference.com.  Participants may purchase a boxed lunch
online or bring their own lunch.  Doors
open at 8 am for badge and conference packet pick up and book sales.  The first panels begin at 9:30 am.  Four panels featuring teen authors will
address various types of bullying including Bullying
in School
, Self-Bullying, Cyber-bullying, and Bullies and LGBTQ.  A keynote
address will be given by Heather Brewer and feature a very special guest.  Less Than Three Conference will end with a two
hour Mix-and-Mingle-with-the-Authors Party Time where participants can meet
authors personally and get books autographed.

“The Less Than Three Conference will be a place where people can talk,
share ideas, learn, listen, and come away with new ideas and positive
approaches to tackling a very serious issue that many young people face today.”
stated Heather Brewer. “This will truly be an empowering experience in which
participants learn how being yourself and respecting others builds strength and
better communities at schools, in the workplace and in our neighborhoods.”
