Rain Garden Program for the Community

Got rain that’s slow to drain?  Stop pooling around. Plant a Rain Garden. 

Fleur de Lis Garden Society welcomes you to attend a FREE Rain Garden Program, Saturday, October 15, 2011 from 1-4 pm.  Please join us at the Renaud Spirit Center (indoor recreation complex), 2650 Tri Sports Circle, O’Fallon, MO 63368. 

Learn how to turn that low, swampy or bare spot in your lawn into a low-maintenance garden that attracts butterflies and birds!  Rain gardens are an important gardening trend that will benefit the whole community.

  • Help keep waterways and local drinking water clean
  • Help prevent neighborhood flooding from storm water
  • Put the brakes on erosion

At the workshop, experts will give you great tips on the best plants for rain gardens, choosing the best site, avoiding common mistakes in creating a rain garden and more.
