Police Blotter: Smell of Burnt Marijuana Leads to Ticket

Property Damage

  • Twelve vehicles were egged in the neighborhood in the 300 block of Misty Valley Driveby an unknown person.

Drug Offense

  • A vehicle was stopped for traffic violations at Cave Springs Road and Veterans Memorial Parkway and an officer immediately noticed an odor he associated with burnt marijuana. The vehicle search was conducted after driver gave consent and a baggie with marijuana was discovered in the vehicle. The driver was issued a summons for possession of marijuana.

  • An unknown person stole a laptop computer and prescription medications from an unlocked vehicle overnight. There are no suspects at this time.
