St. Peters Girl, 17, Dies Days After Maryland Heights Car Crash

St. Charles man in custody for his part in the accident.

The 17-year-old girl that was has been announced dead.

Natasha Galenski, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, died shortly after 10 a.m. on Saturday while at Creve Coeur's Mercy Medical Center.

John Recklein, 22, of St. Charles, was arrested for his role in the crash, which happened Tuesday on Highway 364.

Recklein, who was seriously injured in the accident as well, is being charged with voluntary manslaughter, second-degree felony assault and misdemeanor driving while intoxicated, STLToday.com reports. 

Galenski was a passenger in Recklein's car.

Jared T. Nevenner, 23, of Caseyville, also died in the crash. 

According to the accident report, Recklein was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Venture with three passengers when his car struck the left rear of another car. Recklein's car overturned several times, ejecting Recklein in the process, befor ecoming to a rest on its top.
