St. Peters Man Indicted For Beating and Tying Up Roommate

Kenneth Canamore also stole the man's car, police said.

A St. Peters man was indicted by a St. Charles grand jury Feb. 15 after being accuse of knocking out his roommate’s teeth, tying him up with an electrical cord and stealing his car.

Kenneth Canamore, 29, of the 400 block of Church Street in St. Peters, was indicted Feb. 15 on charges of felonious restraint, third-degree assault and tampering with a motor vehicle.

St. Peters Police said Canamore punched his roommate-knocking out his teeth-Nov. 3 in the 400 block of Church Street. He then tied the man up and took his 2003 Nissan Altima, police said.

He also was charged Feb. 15 with violating a protection order.

Canamore is being held in St. Charles County jail. Bail was set at $50,000 for the felonious restrain, assault and tampering charges.
