St. Peters Police Add New Officer

Francis Howell North alum James West was sworn in as the newest member of the St. Peters Police Department.

added a new officer during Thursday's Board of Aldermen Meeting. 

Officer James West took the oath of office from St. Peters Police Chief Tom Bishop and was sworn in as the newest member of the department. To complete the process, Bishop had West's father pin the badge on the new officer. It wasn't the first time his father had put a badge on a uniform.

James West joined the family business. His father, Paul West, is a long-time—very long time according to Bishop—member of the St. Charles Police Department and certainly holds the rank of Captain.

The younger West is a St. Peters resident who graduated from Francis Howell North. He attended Lindenwood University for Criminal Justice. After college, he went to the . While in the acdemy, West worked as a at the Justice Center.
