St. Peters Resident Uninjured in Tuesday Afternoon Crash

Robert J. Deterding, was unharmed in the crash on T.R. Hughes Blvd.

A St. Peters man was unharmed despite sustaining extensive damage to his vehicle in a multi-car crash Tuesday afternoon. 

Robert J. Deterding, 62, was involved in a two-vehicle collision on East Terra Lan just east of T.R. Hughes Blvd. in St. Charles County just after 3:30 p.m. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Wentzville resident Ivan Mickens, 42, was stopped on the road attempting to make a left turn. Deterding, in his 2001 Dodge Ram, struck the rear of Mickens' 2004 Kia Optima.

The impact of the crash totaled out Micken's car and sent him to seek medical attention. St. Charles County Ambulance took Mickens to St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles. The crash reports lists his injuries as minor.

Deterding's truck was extensively damaged, but he did not seek medical attention. 

Both drivers were wearing safety devices in the crash.
